About Us

Material Resource Associates was founded in 1989 as a multi-person sales agency with offices located throughout the East Coast. We represent some of the finest companies who supply high quality materials, components, and services to customers involved in the manufacture or distribution of metal and metal related products. 

With our diverse product line, MRA has strived to become a valuable resource for Original Equipment Manufacturers, Contract Fabricators, and Distributors from a wide variety of industries including Transportation, Data management, Household Products, Construction Equipment, Signage, Telecommunication, HVAC and Motor Control.  

Over the years many customers have requested a single-source supplier for turn-key parts such as machined and plated castings as well as vendor managed inventory programs that did not always fit the core competencies of our principals. In December 2000, we established MRA Sales, Inc., a brokerage company to fill this niche.

As the brokerage business grew and evolved, we found it more and more difficult to control product quality and delivery, so in September 2001 we established Specialty Roller and Machine, Inc. 

This ISO 9001:2015 certified CNC machine shop concentrates on the production of complex precision-machined components made from solid or cast aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, high-tech alloys and plastics.
